Every day in the CSKA calendar is important. We remember the Army’s history and interesting facts from January 18.

- On January 18, 1948, CDKA defeated local Dynamo in Tallinn with a 8:3 score on the way to its first championship. Seven goals were scored by a fantastic line of Evgeny Babich - Anatoly Tarasov - Vsevolod Bobrov. Bobrov scored five times, the playing coach Tarasov had a double.

- On this day the Moscow CSKA players distinguished themselves in the uniform of the USSR national team. On January 18, 1958, in Luzhniki our national team led by Anatoly Tarasov scored 11 pucks against Poland, conceding one, in a test game in preparation for the World Cup in Oslo. The leading attacking line of Konstantin Loktev – Veniamin Alexandrov – Alexandr Cherepanov scored 6 times: Cherepanov had a hat trick and Loktev had a double. One more goal was scored by CSKA forward Yuri Pantyukhov.

- On January 18, 2010, in the second KHL Championship CSKA, Moscow caused a sensation in Yaroslavl. The vice-champion was defeated with a 6:1 tennis score. The future Olympic champion and CSKA captain Sergey Andronov, as well as Yegor Mikhailov, currently the head coach of Zvezda, took part in that game.
